Best Lasagne ever! | Самая вкусная лазанья

Hanna and Tomas invited us for dinner in Stockholm and we had the best ever Lasagne. The original recipe is from Per Morberg, chef at TV4.

Serves 8. Takes 1,5 h to make.

You need:

1 kg ground beef
200 g mushrooms
200 g smoked bacon
400-500 gram diced tomatoes
0,2 l tomato puree
8 garlic cloves
4 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons butter
Black pepper
200 g grated cheese
20 fresh lasagne sheets
Béchamel sauce:
1,4 l milk
0,4 l cream (fat)
200 g butter
0,2 l flour
Ground Nutmeg

Do this:

  1. Chop bacon and mushrooms.
  2. Finely chop the garlic.
  3. Fry the meat in a pan until it is browned.
  4. Fry then bacon, mushrooms and garlic in some olive oil until it becomes golden brown.
  5. Add the tomato puree.
  6. Pour everything into a heavy-bottomed pot (preferably an iron pot) and add the crushed tomatos.
  7. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  8. Let it all simmer for 30-40 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the bechamel sauce:

  1. Heat milk and cream together. Put aside.
  2. Melt the butter and sprinkle the flour over it.
  3. Stir with a whisk so the flour dissolves in the butter thoroughly.
  4. Gradually pour in half the hot milk & cream mix, whisking constantly with a balloon whisk, until mixture is smooth.
  5. Gradually add the remaining milk&cream, whisking until smooth and combined.
  6. Simmer gently for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Season with salt, pepper and ground nutmeg.

Now- assemble the Lasagne!

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C .
  2. Take a deep ovenproof dish and put a layer of lasagne sheets at bottom.
  3. Layer sauce and grated cheese, lasagne sheets and mincemeat.
  4. Finish with a last layer of meat sauce, bechamel and cheese.
  5. Place in oven  for 20-30 minutes at 200 degrees.
